I was born and raised in Central Oregon and I draw my inspiration from the rugged Oregon landscapes and creatures found throughout the world. I use multiple different techniques in my paintings ranging from pallet knife work to fine detailed brushwork. I love to go explore and plein air paint when I can, there is nothing like painting in nature and learning from a view right in front of you. My intent is to capture small pieces of the magnificent creation before us and to communicate the complex tension between serenity and might. I’ve been oil painting since I was 16 and look forward to many more years of creativity, learning and joy through art.
